This was the second climb that almost did me in. It was only about 300m vertical, but the last 100m was almost ice climbing up a couloir, in a growing blizzard. We were kicking in foot holds and our hands were in the foot holds of the climbers above! I was sucking in the thin air for all I was worth and eventually called for some help from the guide (who should have given us a belay anyway and that would have reduced the effort need to kick in extra safe foot holds!).
This was the ski path down the Glacier de Gebrouluz. 30cm of nice fresh snow and good glimpses through the white out of the deep blue ice of the ice falls. The 2nd climb can be seen in the distance and the 2nd decent was down the Glacier du Borgne
