Sumidero Canyon From San Cristobal, you can take a bus to Chiapa de Corzo (about 2 hrs) from where you can do a speedboat tour of the flooded Sumidero Canyon. The canyon is very spectacular. It's highest cliff is famous for being the spot from which the local Indians flung themselves rather than submit to the Spanish.
